School Resources
School Supplies: Several community agencies and businesses have donated backpacks and school supplies. If your child is in need of a backpack or supplies, please ask. We can help.
Weekend Food Bags: Auburn Food Bank partners with Communities in Schools to provide weekend food bags for up to 20 families at our school. If you are struggling to feed your family and would like a supplement on the weekends, please contact me.
Holiday Help: Washington's Wishing Wall program aims to provide gifts and a holiday meal to families who are struggling financially and might not have gifts or a holiday meal without our help. We rely solely on community donations, so we cannot guarantee the level of help you'll receive, but we will do all that we can to make your holiday a little brighter. If you need help for the holidays this year, contact me as soon as possible for an application. The Wishing Wall usually goes up in time for fall conferences in mid- November.
Housing Instability: If you are without permanent housing, you may qualify for the McKinney -Vento program which offers help with transportation, food, and other needs. Contact me for more information.
Translators: If English is not your first language and you would like to have a conversation with school personnel in your first language, we can schedule an interpreter to meet with us in person or speak with us over the phone. We value your input and participation in your child's education and do not want language to be a barrier.
